An agent is a person authorized to act on behalf of another. Under probate law, an agent includes an attorney under a durable or non durable power of attorney. S/he can be an individual authorized to make decisions concerning another’s health care. An individual authorized to make decisions for another under the natural death act is also known as an agent.
