If I made a living trust do I need to also make a financial power of attorney?

Generally, there is property and assets that were not transferred to a living trust. For matters outside the trust you may want to consider a financial power of attorney that is not inconsistent with provisions of your trust.  Your trustee can administer the finances of the trust. Also, you should have an alternate trustee and can provide in the trust that the alternate trustee is to manage the trust if you are not capable. You could also appoint the same person you appointed as trustee as the agent in the power of attorney.
