Expense Reimbursement and Repayment to Trust Trustee, Advisor, and Protector

If a trust trustee, advisor or protector incurs expenses in connection with the trust they are entitled to payment plus interest. This applies to expenses that are incurred in the administration of the trust, including the defense or prosecution of any action, unless the trustee is determined to have willfully or wantonly committed a material breach of trust and to the extent necessary to prevent unjust enrichment of the trust, expenses that were not properly incurred in the administration of the trust.

An advance by the trust trustee, advisor, or protector or by another qualified person of money for the protection of the trust gives rise to a lien against trust property to secure reimbursement with reasonable interest.
